Job Summary of Shipping and Receiving Supervisor:

This position is responsible for managing the stockroom operations, including receiving, processing, and distributing merchandise to the retail floor. The key focus areas are streamlining operational workflows, leading a team, and upholding brand standards within inventory functions. The key objective is to ensure that back-end operations align with providing customers with a consistent and enjoyable shopping experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Shipping and Receiving Supervisor:

• Take charge of the stockroom’s daily functions, supervise staff members, manage the reception of shipments, and distribute goods accordingly.
• Maintain store presentation standards, monitor product turnover, and uphold brand uniformity.
• Increase productivity by recognizing process efficiencies and integrating standardized practices.
• Keep the stockroom and receiving areas tidy and enforce safety regulations consistently.
• Assist with the recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluation of stockroom team members.
• Foster a culture of loyalty program advocacy among team members by coaching them on the benefits of such programs.
• Implement standard operating systems and tools, including POS and PDA technology.
• Utilize strong communication, coaching techniques, and teamwork-oriented environments to keep your team motivated and engaged.
• Execute further obligations as required by leaders.

Qualifications and Experience of Shipping and Receiving Supervisor:

• It is desirable to have a high school diploma or similar certification.
• Ideally, the candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity, with a preference for retail or stockroom settings.
• Skilled in leading teams and managing them effectively.
• Proficiency in effective verbal exchanges and interpersonal interactions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in prioritizing assignments, multitasking efficiently, and meeting important milestones.
• Well-versed in the functionality of POS systems and portable PDA devices.
• Willingness to work adaptable hours, which could include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
